  • We named our Sourdough Starter Mabel (she's practically part of the family now!)  Like many sourdough bakers, our sourdough journey began during the pandemic of 2020 which is when Mabel was born!.  You may think, Dehydrated Sourdough Starter?  What?  But really, it's kind of amazing, with a little warm water and flour and some TLC, you can have your own sourdough starter that's alive and well and ready for you to begin your own sourdough journey.  With your packet of Mabel, you will also receive detailed instructions for reviving the wild yeast in the starter and how to feed and care for it, bake your very own loaves of sourdough bread and any other sourdough goodness you want to try.  Your packet of starter will come with a recipe for Classic Sourdough bread, and if you're ready for more, you can also purchase some of my digital recipes also available for download on the site.  So, don't be afraid, go bake some good bread!
